Week 12: Rodents

Ok, the first the good.  A 13-0 lead in the 1st, (the one on a missed set on the extra point, not Duncan’s fault).  But then the bad, only 3 points after halftime.  Hawks could have put the game away with a couple TDs there.  Instead it came down to the end.

But what an end!  With Hawkeye fans dreading the thought of the Rodents putting together a game winning drive, the Iowa defense held serve.  Back to back sacks of Morgan, the 2nd by Epenesa the Younger, knocked Duncan out of the game with the Rodents facing a 3rd and 21.  That pass by the backup was no good, and on 4th and 21, he tried to go deep, but he hung the ball up and Moss picked it off for the only turnover of the game.  Also, the Hawkeye D only gave the Rodents 63 net rushing yards (on 30 attempts) so that was a good job there.
