Week 5 Recap: Purdue

No play by play this week, as with the bye week, it’s in the past.

Oh, and my TWC dvr only recorded the first 73 minutes of the game.

And I was up too late watching my Dodgers blow my baseball dreams for another season.

C.J. got his first career start, and he was 17 for 37 for 245 yards, but there were at least 6 drops that hurt his cause.  We learned during the game that the sabotage at O’Hare that snarled midwest air travel had caused the Hawks to bus to Purdue.  And that seemed to have them rather sleepy in the 1st quarter.

Before it would end, C.J. would throw his first pick-six, and the Hawkeye defense would allow Purdue to gain 74 yards.

After Purdue got the lead to 10-0 with an early 2nd quarter field goal - the Iowa defense woke up.

And the Boilermakers would only gain 82 yards the rest of the way.
