The Eternal Season - Tuesday September 13th

Good Evening TES Family!

Another day down!  When your lunch ends tomorrow, the back half of the week shall be here.

Football season might be here, but because it is Tuesday, there is none of it.  So a quick TES tonight, so you can wrap up your evening and get ready for Hump Day.  Little on the sports calendar today. just baseball, soccer, and tennis.  But not to worry, football returns on Thursday night, and runs right on through Monday night.

The tennis match last night when on a bit longer than it seemed it would, as Nadal took the 3rd set tiebreaker to avoid the sweep.  But after that, he was summarily dumped 6-1 in the 4th to wrap up the title for Djokovic.  That made him 64-2 on the year, with an all time season money grab of just over $10.6 million.  Pretty good for hitting a yellow ball around.

The Dodgers couldn't get the win last night, but they take the mound in 15 minutes looking to take the 2nd and 3rd game of the series and get back to the .500 mark.  Kershaw takes the mount tomorrow night, and that's a pretty sure Dodger win.  Get one tonight boys!

And as baseball season winds down for the teams not in the playoff hunt, it means another part of The Eternal Season is just about here to compliment the football season.  That, my friends, is NHL Hockey.  The Caps. and the rest of the league, open up training camps this weekend.  Alex The Gr8 seems ticked off at his subpar (for him) 2010-2011 season, so put your money on him leading the NHL scoring race once again this season.

And that my friends, is it for this Tuesday night.  Tomorrow, forced to watch the Iowa game again for my note taking, and then to the Mac to work on the Week 3 Game Notes.  When TES returns Thursday night, the Notes will be out, and football will once again be here.  Until then, have a good night, and a great Wednesday!
