The Eternal Season - Monday September 26th

Hello Again TES Friends!

And voila - Monday is over for another week!

Started training for my new gig today, so between that and the soon to start game, a short and sweet TES tonight.  That game, of course, Skins at Cowboys on MNF, 8:30, on ESPN.  Romo is going with a flak type jacket - getting that ball out quickly will be key tonight.  And if the Skins try to target Romo as they have talked, then the Boys defense will be doing the same to Grossman.  Be careful what you wish for Skins.  Go Cowboys!

Still relishing the Hawkeyes 45-17 dismantling of ULM - where we opened the game in the no huddle and marched right down the field to make it 7-0.  So that old dog KOK can learn new tricks.  Much more about the game in the Notes, which will not be out this week as the Hawks are on the bye.  They will return next week to preview the Penn State game.

It's down to the final series for baseball, the Dodgers need one win to clinch the .500 finish, which would be noteworthy for the distracted season of 2011.  Kershaw has all but cemented the the NL Cy Young, and Matt Kemp is flirting with the first National League Triple Crown since 1937.  About the time my maternal grandparents were dating in Iowa City.

As promised, that is it, get thyself in front of the tv to finish off your Monday with a classic NFL rivalry.  And a new line added to the listings tonight!

The love of sports is shared across the generations, and there are few things as fun as debating the merits of certain players, strategies, and team histories with other, opposing sports nuts.
