The weight – is over.
The weight, that is, of our depressing streak of 9 straight losses in games decided by 3 points or less. And the three season long wait that we have endured, hoping the Hawks could get a signature win that would propel us back toward our place at the top of the Big Ten and the Top 10 in the polls.
If this win will indeed do that is to be seen, but I like our chances. That the Hawks could play a considerably less than perfect game yet come out with the victory could mean that we have finally turned that corner.
